Dear Prime Minister Thomas,

Subject: Allegations Against Hon. Nazim Burke

The two officials held talks on the margins of the 65th Session of the United Nations General Assembly which opened last week.

"They will assign someone to deal with diplomatic matters – someone in the capacity of an honorary consul – and this I think again is quite significant," said Prime Minister Thomas.

He said that they discussed continued support

“I am trying here to contain myself because he was the humblest of kings that you could bump into,” one man told BBC Caribbean.  Soca musician Arrow, whose real name is Alphonsus Cassell, died at his Montserrat home on Wednesday from complications of brain cancer.

The man who won global fame with his 1983 hit “hot Hot Hot” was among the best-known artists of soca, described as a fusion music with roots in calypso.

Outside the Caribbean, many know soca music, a fast-paced cousin of calypso, through Arrow’s biggest “How you feeling” hit.

Calypsonian Arrow had been fighting brain cancer for over a year and had been back and forth for treatment in the US.

However, upon returning home to his native Montserrat, he fell ill recently with pneumonia

Carter Lashes Out at Kennedy for Killing his Health Care Plan

The late Sen. Ted Kennedy, champion of the recent health plan legislation, actually delayed comprehensive coverage for Americans for decades, says former President Jimmy Carter.  It was Kennedy’s actions to kill Carter’s own health care bill that made Americans wait more than 30 years for meaningful coverage, says Carter in an interview with Lesley Stahl.  The interview will be broadcast on 60 MINUTES, Sunday, Sept. 19 (7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

”The fact is that we would have had comprehensive health care now, had it not been for Ted Kennedy’s deliberately blocking the legislation

Her Majesty’s Opposition Pleased with Government for Accepting Advice

St. George’s, Grenada September 6th, 2010: Her Majesty's Opposition is pleased to note that the Tillman Thomas administration has listened to our advice and will be removing the VAT being levied on service charge in the hotel and restaurant sectors. The Opposition had made it clear to Government that the imposition of the VAT at a time when the economy is in a state of recession was not a very prudent move since doing so will add to the economic hardships of the population, will work against economic recovery and will destroy every sector of society. The current state of the country's economy has proven

The investment-starved government of Grenada might be facing some embarrassment, CARIBUPDATE NEWS has reported.

"There are more questions than answers about a company that has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Grenada government purportedly to fund projects worth billions of dollars,'' CARIBUPDATE reported in its September 1 Newsbreak bulletin.

Last week, Grenadians heard for the first time that some government officials, including Prime Minister Tillman Thomas, had met with representatives of SeWang One World, which is proposing to invest more than US$2 billion in Grenada.

One of the problems, said CARIBUPDATE, is that nobody outside of the promoters of

St. George's, August 31, 2010 – They are self-taught artists whose paintings are finding customers as far away as the United States and England. But Kevin and Nicholas Noel, Carriacou-born brothers, are looking for that extra help to take their work to another level.

Kevin, 23, and his 20-year-old brother use the small income generated from sale to support themselves and four other siblings – two sisters and two brothers.

They currently operate from a home on Herbert Blaize Street, at the bottom of Cooper's Hill, where their paintings are available for viewing and for sale. The work is also exhibited at Kalingo Beach Resort
